After the positive post last night my ketones were raised again to 1.8 even although my blood sugars were okay. Staff nurse took bloods to check for DKA. This was happening throughout the night. 2am the results were not DKA.
This morning ketones 0.1 seems crazy.
Waiting on a CT scan re clot on the lung if not then may be discharged. BS okay, I do find the doctors know little about diabetes about managing it albeit with spikes. Infection markers coming down slowly but in the right direction
Thanks again for the messages x

Sorry you are being given the run-around with ketones @Elizabethe

Have your BGs been OK?

And are you eating regularly?

Hope your recovery continues apace.

I am eating small amounts but regular , BS a bit better not going above 14 and mostly within the top end of the range. . Still waiting on my scan, the hospital was so busy yesterday. Hopefully today, feeling better, although almost 66 I have only been in hospital twice for minor operations which lasted two days. Fast forward 25 years what a different world the staff must be exhausted. Everyone needs to in my opinion fight to save our NHS
