Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi

Im just wondering if anyone has ever tried a thing called plexus slim? Its not actually available in the uk, just canada, usa and australia I think. My friend in australia was selling it and originally it was designed for diabetes as it helps to regulate the blood sugars. Anyway theu found a side effect of this was weight loss so now its sold for weight loss and general health. I tried it and found it quite good, it did help reduce my cravings and I slept a lot better so had more energy. I only stopped using it because its a bit of a hassle to get it fron australia and so it lapsed.
Anyway I am just wondering if anyone has heard of it or uses it? Im thinking about using it again now I actually have diabetes so just wondering if anyone has any advice?

Personally for me id be wary of anything not being sold in the UK first off that sets alarm bells ringing, also I would prefer to take the medication my GP prescribes me rather then paying for some of my own back and maybe causing worst effects to my health

If it's not available in the UK then there's probably a very good reason for that. We have very strict regulations regarding claims for products, much stricter than the other countries you mention, so they either have failed them or not tried to pass them in the first place - wouldn't go near it.

Also anything claiming to help you become "slim" sounds abit off to me, if it was all that and more the UK doctors and other health professionals would be biting the hands off the manufacturer to have it become available over here as there always going on about an obesity epidemic

I'm sure it's now banned in Australia too now but don't quote me as I can't remember the source.

It has all the signs of a 'pyramid' type selling product. Their website seems to operate in a similar manner to Amway, in fact if you scroll down this page on their website to the picture of their executives you will see them standing in front of a display of their 'Ambassadors,(sales force) with tiers for sales achievement, Diamond, Saphire, Emerald.
Boy is it expensive, not surprising as each person in the pyramid scheme has to have their commission.
.
I like the statement on their website: *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

So why buy it?
The Plexus block product has this amazing property :
Q: Does BLOCK interfere with the absorption of nutrients?
A: No. One of the many benefits of BLOCK is it inhibits the absorption of carbs and sugars, up to 48%, without blocking the absorption of any beneficial nutrients. So you get a level of protection against glucose overload while ingesting healthy nutrients.*
and all with the ingredients: brown seaweed blend and white kidney beans,

Oh and if it doesn't work for you, you can also add another product like Plexus Accelerator.
