At risk of diabetes
As a pre-diabetic (diagnosed 12 December 2018), I have become a bit of a 'carb watcher'.....checking labels etc when shopping. There are several foods that I have cut out completely like Sainsbury's pavlova :D, and subway sandwich (spicy). I cut down a lot on/ rarely have, chips/french fries, jacket potato, rice, bread (if I do have bread, then I choose one with low carbs Hi-Lo or Warburton's Wholemeal - 9g carb per slice). Replaced standard coke with Diet Coke. Don't drink a lot of it, but it makes a pleasant change from water, which I drink a lot of 🙂

Yesterday, I had a bit of a carb day because I ate out. Not easy to totally regulate what you eat when the food is made by a restaurant. The food I ate (though yummy), included pasta and garlic bread (white) 😉. I tested myself first thing this morning to see what impact my indulgence had on my BG levels. The result was 4.9 😎

Great stuff @Bushbaby57

Seems like the changes you've made have helped your metabolism cope with some occasional carbs 🙂

Yes, I shall bear that in mind Martin. I was in London and didn't think to take my monitor with me. I might do another test sometime with some garlic bread to see what happens.😉
