Type 2
After five weeks of looking after myself since Type 2 diagnosis and getting to grips with low carbs, careful testing etc. I reluctantly decided to have a wee blow out at my daughter's 40th birthday celebration today. I was 6.4 this morning and expected to be through the roof this evening, after enjoying a great day eating and drinking freely. To my amazement, my BG this evening was only 8. Hallelujah. 🙂 I won't get too cocky or complacent, however 'cos I know that the D goddess ( or god ) can bite your bum when you least expect it.

It's a fab feeling isn't it. I had a slice of Asda made to order pizza and recorded less than 6 after 3 hours! I think the low carb means low sugar so a blow out once in a blue moon has less impact!
