I get free access to Elon's Grok2 via twitter/X at the moment for some reason. It's pretty good at finding the kind of publicly available info it might take you a couple of hours to track down. It surrounds results with a puffery of "however" and "on the other hand" etc etc I guess partly to make it seem like it's actually displaying judgement of some kind. The writing is kind of high-school precis level. So in other words, the quality is around mediocre-human-writer level but the speed is much faster & for the moment it doesn't cost me anything.

Predicting the future dynamics between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, especially the specifics like the timing and cause of a potential falling out, involves a lot of speculation. However, we can consider historical behavior, current dynamics, and common themes in Trump's relationships with high-profile individuals:
Historical Context:
- Trump's Relationships with Business Figures:
- Trump has had numerous publicized fallings out with business associates over the years. Often, these have stemmed from business disagreements, perceived disloyalty, or when associates have outshone him in the media.
- Musk's Relationship Dynamics:
- Elon Musk has also had public disagreements, but his conflicts tend to center around business strategy, regulatory issues, or personal disputes rather than personal attacks.
- Money and Business Interests:
- Trump's Financial Focus: Trump's business empire relies heavily on real estate, branding, and licensing deals. If Musk's actions or policies were to affect this negatively, it could lead to friction. For instance, if Musk were to advocate for or implement policies that hurt Trump's business interests (like changes in real estate regulations or tax policies), money could indeed become a point of conflict.
- Musk's Financial Independence: Musk's wealth and business operations are vast and diversified, making him less dependent on Trump for financial gain. However, if Trump feels Musk is not contributing enough to his political or business agenda, or if Musk's companies were to benefit from government contracts under a Trump administration and there was a perceived lack of reciprocation, money could indeed play a role.
- Ego and Attention:
- Both Trump and Musk are known for their strong personalities and desire for public recognition. If Musk were to receive more attention or credit for policy initiatives or if he were to publicly disagree with Trump on a significant issue, Trump's sensitivity to sharing the spotlight could lead to tension.
- Policy Disagreements:
- While Musk has supported Trump in some areas, particularly around less regulation for business, their views might diverge on other policies like climate change, where Musk has a personal interest due to Tesla and renewable energy initiatives.
- Short Term vs. Long Term:
- Short Term: Given their current alignment and Musk's role in advising Trump, a falling out might not occur immediately unless there's a significant catalyst or betrayal.
- Long Term: Over time, as policy details emerge or if Musk's high-profile status begins to eclipse Trump's in certain areas, tensions could rise. If Musk's companies face regulatory challenges or if he pushes for policies Trump opposes, this could accelerate a rift.
- Likelihood: While it's speculative, the history of Trump's interactions suggests that a falling out with Musk is within the realm of possibility, especially if Musk's actions or public stance were to directly oppose Trump's interests or ego.
- Over Money: Money could certainly be a factor, but it might not be the only or even the primary cause. It could be intertwined with issues of loyalty, policy, or public recognition.
- When: This is highly unpredictable. It could happen shortly if a significant disagreement arises or it might develop over years as their personal and professional paths diverge.
