ive had a hunt around Tesco’s today and found some sourdough pizza bases. 2 in a pack for £1.25 (I think or roughly that) each one is 47g of carbs so I’m going to try half of one tonight for tea with salad. Has anyone tried these? I’m a bit nervous but also really looking forward to it

Good numbers for a pizza, sadly haven’t had one since diagnosed, my bg’s would be nothing like yours. Bet you enjoyed it lol x

It was lovely and I managed to stick to my half with salad. I’m quite happy with those numbers just wondering if they will go up anymore? It’s all so unpredictable

did you do any further testing?

pizza can be notorious for spiking long after eating due to the fats etc, I haven't even attempted it but I never was a fan of pizza anyway, people injecting find it very difficult to manage for pizza
xx

I personally love pizza, but when checking in my Carbs and Cals app I see there could be a whopping 160 g Carbs in a full size one.

Glad I didn't believe that from the start as I regularly now bolus for a maximum of 50g and that seems to be about right (I do leave a bit of the crust as well). I do a multiwave over about 2 hours though.
But yes, I can happily say I can eat pizza with no ill effects
Yay!

I didn’t test anymore as it was late. I really enjoyed it but it’s not something we will eat often. Next time I’ll try and eat earlier to see what happens.

It’s rubbish really, I get such a Happy feeling when I eat something like this, normal food that most people don’t even think about then it brings me down to such a low place when I wonder if it’s ok to eat it and will this rule my life forever, will I ever be able to eat again without worry and guilt

Yes, and I believe the 160g (having been on holiday to Italy last year). But it does depend; I'm quite willing to believe that some pizzas are more like 50g. (Not many qualify as low-carb, that's for sure.)

Wow, great numbers.

Depends on the crust, a 12'' thin crust from shops has about 50g per half a pizza, a 10'' one is about 35g, so around 70g for the whole thing. Prefer thin crust over thick crust, with plenty of cheese and generous amount of garlic, delicious.
