I am struggling on a tablet over 5 years ago only ever to read books during lockdown.

This afternoon I ran some paused updates through. When i later went to use it the front screen would not display
the keypad for logging in. I am totally stuck without
a phone! Any ideas?

Tnanks, .MikeyBikey

P.S. Still in hospital...

Try a "soft reset" - found this on a support website:

To force a restart on your Pixel 6 press and hold the power button (or unlock button) for at least 8 seconds until the Google or Android logo appears on the screen and release the button while it turns on again.

Thank you for looking but this was not quite the. answer. The phone has gone into something called TslkBack mode!.If you touch a key you are told it's function. Two very fast taps then makes that selection. Over 50% of the time I was not fast enough. I finally managed to navigate to the right area and turn the Accessibility App off. This happened when I first got the phone when it had a huge backlog of updates. Sorted easier that time but I will not be buying another Google phone as I do not like updates that change settings for no good reason.

Hi Mikey, sorry to hear you are having issues with your new phone. I am not technically minded enough to assist.
Sad news that you are still in hospital. Hoping that your foot and general health improves enough that they can discharge you soon.
Seriously thinking about sending you food parcels so you don't have to survive on hospital food till then. Take care. Sending hugs and best wishes xx
