Hi just wondering if any one else has tried pioglitazone and had side effects, on it for 3 months now and have really painful joints and muscles x

Hi Sazbot, welcome to the forum.🙂

Fortunately, I’m Type 1. Quite a few countries have banned the use of pioglitazone because of the increased risk of bladder cancer, which is significant enough to worry them. If you have noticed painful joints and muscles, you should report this to your doctor and ask for a change in medication.

Why were you given these tablets? GP running out of ideas?
