So husband has had his medication put up from 15mg to 30mg I was worried about him putting weight on as he does need to lose some but he’s lost some weight I am rather confused as we have had xmas in between as well ?
 
Sorry, you've lost me there.

The drug is to reduce blood glucose and weight increase or indeed loss isn't one of the reported side effects.
