Hi, I keep getting pins and needles, mainly in my feet but a few times in my hands. i had pins and needles earlier but just have a tingling feeling now.

Also my ears are funny, you know when you are in a plane and they pop, a but like that but i would use the word fuzzy..

are the 2 things related to each other, are they related to diabetes, if so should i be worried?

Thanks guys

Julie x

You're fairly newly-diagnosed aren't you Julie? It may just be a symptom of your body adapting to lower levels of BG. Are you able to test? I know that I had a lot of pins and needles in my first few months, particularly in bed, but don't suffer it any more now my BG is under control. I had the ear thing when my levels were very high, at diagnosis. If it persists, always worth seeing your GP. Are you on any medication? Could be a side-effect if so, and you may have an alternative.

hi, yes only diagnosed a few weeks ago, and trying to lower bloods but with going on holiday etc im not doing great, this morning before food it was 9.5 but was really pleased yesterday cos it was 6.8 am testing and am going for a fasting bg test this week and to see the GP next, not on any meds but nurse thinks he might put me on some as i phoned worried when bg was 15.5!

will mention to dr about ears etc when i see him, was just more worried about pins and needles.

Thanks for your help

Do mention it when yo see doc, make an appointment sooner if you're realy worried.

As the blood sugar levels come under control you will experience all kinds of odd symptoms for a while. It is always worth asking for advice for your own peace of mind

I had it a load in my hand but now i dont seem to get it half as much
