One month ago felt pins and needles on the inner thighs and now it's down my legs to the top of feet.Seems to be getting worse. For fasting glucose and Hb1Ac on Tuesday.Have always tried to control diabetes by lifestyle. It has not worked for me.
Has anyone had this particular symptom and is it treatable?
Seen GP yesterday and asked him if this has anything to do with blood glucose. No definite answer.Prescribed allergy tablets.

We've had a few members report something similar in the past. Do you think your blood sugars have improved significantly lately? There is a condition called 'transient neuropathy' which is temporary and caused by lowering of blood sugar levels from previous high levels to more normal ones. This can cause the nerve endings to become more sensitive for a while which may manifest itself in a number of ways. I expect you will find out on Tuesday how much your levels have improved and if this may be an explanation. I would certainly raise the issue and make clear that your feel it has worsened as the month has progressed.

It may, of course, be dueto something else entirely. Is it listed as a side-effect of any medications you are taking? If it is concerning you, don't be fobbed off by the doctor, insist on an explanation and treatment options if necessary. Hope it is sorted for you soon 🙂

BG after meals has been recorded using Optium Exceed monitor to around 10.5.This goes down to 7-7.5 after 2 hours. The pins and needles are worst after meals.
i am on simvastatin and Xatral for prostate problem.Have been on them for more than 2 years.I do not think they are side effects to present medication.
