Today I had my first session of physio due to a neck problem and was told that the main problem is my C7 and T1 vertebrae and my radial nerve being affected - the physio thinks this has flared up due to my poor diabetes control atm! Was very interesting carrying out the positions she advised - especially when she demonstrated that my left hand isn't really working properly, totally weak, good job I'm right-handed! So now I'm off to physio weekly for the foreseeable future.

at least you have some answers, I hope it works for you

Hope you find the sessions, and exercises to do between sessions, helpful.
It's always helpful to have a full assessment, leading to diagnosis and terminology.

I've always found physiotherapy very helpful when I've had back and knee problems - both solving an acute problem and teaching me techniques to use at the slightest twinge to prevent things getting any worse. Occasionally have had to consult friends who are physios or once a private physio, when I couldn't get access to NHS physiotherapy quick enough, but it's the only money I've ever spent on private healthcare and was well worth the cost. 🙂

Today's session was definitely helpful, feeling the effects this evening. It amazes me how much the physiotherapist can tell, just by doing a couple of simple movements. Have been given neck exercises and nerve stretches to do inbetween sessions and a very interesting booklet to read.

You'll make the physio's day by taking notice of them, as well as doing yourself lots of good 🙂

When I broke my femur the BUPA physio I saw was next to useless, but I got recommended another by a friend and he was excellent - got me back running again in 6 months 🙂 Hope the exercises really help newbs! 🙂

Thank you. My physio has recommended I start running as she thinks it will help with posture and loosening muscles. Have to find my trainers first 🙂
