Phillip Lee upsetting pharmacists too!

The DDA Board has warned against extrapolating dispensing practice data after Conservative MP Dr Phillip Lee reportedly said "?400 million could be saved from the drugs budget by allowing GP surgeries to dispense medicines".

Pharmacy's professional leaders have meanwhile labelled Dr Lee as "misinformed, out of touch, and plain wrong" after he likened dispensing medicines in pharmacies to ?counting Smarties'.

And no expert middle man to sort out the ****-ups when Dr De'Ath prescribes something that will kill you if taken with your current cocktail of pharmacy fare, or 10 x the right dose or whatever !

MP rebukes colleague's dispensing Smarties slur

Tory MP Nick de Bois has rebuked his colleague's attack on pharmacy, dismissing Phillip Lee's claim that the profession is paid to count Smarties.
GP Dr Lee had based his call for doctors to take over dispensing on "simplistic assumptions", MP for Enfield Mr de Bois said in an exclusive interview with C+D.
Conservative MP for Bracknell Dr Lee had failed to see the substantial opportunity to improve care by working together, argued Mr de Bois, who chairs the all-party parliamentary group (APPG) on primary care and public health.
