This is warning to anyone who has had the vaccine. I had my 1st injection on 16th December and from a few days after until yesterday I have been running high blood glucose. My Humalog just didn't seem to be working. I ended up having to have around 50% more per injection at get it to take effect. I have seen several other people comment on this on the Libre Users Facebook group. I have reported this to the MHRA via the Yellow card warning scheme - Yellow Card Scheme - MHRA

I have not had that problem. My BG has been acting exactly the same as before the vaccine. However I am type 2 so there may be a difference how 1 and 2 react.

People react differently to vaccines generally. They do warn that these coronavirus vaccines tend to trigger more of a reaction than (say) the influenza vaccines.

Thanks for the warning, I tend to run high after my 'flu jab, it must be our livers thinking we need fuelling up to produce all those antibodies.(Though I had my pneumococcal jab just before Christmas and didn’t get any BG problems at all.)

Hope your BGs come back into line soon @Steve_H and it is only a short-term wobble.

Still much better to have got the jab than to have skipped it 🙂

Good! I wouldn't mind it, as long as it's temporary - in comparison to being hospitalised with Sssh you know what, it's nowt, is it, really?
