A Catholic monsignor and Lehigh Valley Hospital have agreed to discontinue a wrongful death lawsuit that claimed the hospital gave a Pen Argyl nun a fatal overdose of insulin.
A trial in the case had been scheduled to begin this week in Lehigh County Court, but the lawsuit is listed as "closed."
Court records say Philadelphia Monsignor George A. Tomichek, who filed the lawsuit in October 2011 on behalf of deceased Sister Maria Angelita Soliman Quito, and the hospital and other defendants reached a stipulation to dismiss the case.
