Health reporter Allison Coggan looks at the suspension of a senior director who accused former Hull hospitals boss Phil Morley off bullying, claims he denies in an interview at the end of this article.

SHE joined the NHS as a 16-year-old and worked her way up to the top of her game, the only woman in charge of estates at any acute hospital in England.

But Pauline Lewin's 40-year career has been left in tatters after she accused former hospital chief executive Phil Morley of bullying while she worked as director of estates and facilities at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Mrs Lewin's case forms part of the evidence presented to Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt, who is meeting Hull's three MPs, Alan Johnson, Diana Johnson and Karl Turner, this month to discuss Mr Morley's time at the trust.
