Dad Paul Coker is running 40 half marathons for charity to celebrate his 40th year living with Type 1 diabetes.
The 44-year-old father of two from Ferndale decided to challenge himself and supportDiabetes UK Cymru in its work to raise awareness of the symptoms of Type 1 diabetes.
Tough challenge
He kicked off his challenge in Newport last Sunday and now faces tough challenges this month including running in the Llanelli Half Marathon on Sunday followed by the Cardiff World Half Marathon Championships on March 26.
Paul’s fundraising will directly support the charity’s work with a Cardiff family who tragically lost their 13-year-old son, Peter Baldwin , last year as a result of undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes.
