Spalding man Paul Elstone is tackling a 986-mile, 12-day cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats, with the aim of raising over £5,000 for Diabetes UK.
Paul’s cycle expedition starts on September 1 at Land’s End on the south-westerly tip of England, pedalling on through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and north along the Welsh border, skirting the Lake District and into Scotland, finishing in John O’Groats.
Paul (47), a lead auditor manager for Tesco Stores, is raising money to help Diabetes UK understand the causes of diabetes, bring about life-changing breakthroughs in care, treatment and prevention and bring us closer to a cure.
