Patients who dare to complain about poor NHS care are made to feel frightened and left exhausted and disheartened, a report warns.

Many of those who raised concerns were confronted by hostile staff who denied doing anything wrong.

Others said they feared that pursuing the complaint would cause staff to treat them even worse out of spite.

After a complete and utter c*ck up regarding a misdiagnoses. The so called specialist consultant is still insisting she is right and 6 other consultants including a chief clinician are wrong.
I've been bullied and told by this woman's sectary that I am a very nasty person for daring to raise any issues. It doesn't seem to matter the silly cow could have blinded me with her diagnoses and treatment plan. 😡
Needless to say I won't be going anywhere near a certain eye dept again.

I can't agree more.
The thing that worries me is the old boys network in operation. This madams work has not and will not be reviewed, yet she could have misdiagnosed countless other people and lasered their eyes for no reason at all.
She claims she is right and everyone else is wrong yet the 2 surgeons who operated on my eyes for cataracts could find no diabetes damage and if there was any damage then surely they were negligent in operating before lasering my eyes to make sure no bleeds? The third consult who had a another good look at the scans and my eyes said no damage anywhere perhaps someone could pass him the hubble telescope to see if he could see anything.
The 3rd consultant did the full eye examination after surgery so there is no doubt there is no damage.
I went through hell for 10 months because of that misdiagnoses.
What was even worse was that misdiagnoses was left in my notes and no one seemed bothered to read on and see that the mistake had been rectified.

My message to everyone if in doubt get a 2nd opinion.
