Hi all

I would like to recruit people over aged 18 with diabetes (not gestational) to take part in a study that is looking to understand the impact of COVID19 and the vaccination programme on diabetes distress and our general stress levels. If you’ve had diabetes for over 12 months, please get in touch.

You will be asked to complete an online survey which will take less than 20 minutes. You will then be asked to repeat this after any subsequent COVID vaccinations.

For information please contact: Charlie Rust via email at 1906562@leedstrinity.ac.uk.

Feel free to ask any questions on the thread - thanks for reading

this study has been approved by @Josh DUK.

What the heck is diabetes distress?
Covid had no impact as the lockdown is no different than my normal daily life. Also why would a vaccine cause distress?

Great that the past year has had no negative impact on you @Pumper_Sue .
It was easy to see that during the early stages the constant reference to ‘those with long term conditions such as Diabetes are at greater risk’ . For some this has had a big impact in man6 different ways. @rustyjellybaby I hope that you get a variety of responses.

Thank you

Had both of mine some time ago and still concerned about been out in public places, even with the numbers vastly reduced.

Unfortunately I've had both of my vaccinations now so that excludes me from your study, I'm assuming, as you can't do a before and after comparison.
