Pressure is growing on the B.C. government to provide better protection for diabetic students by allowing school staff to administer insulin and training some to give life-saving glucagon injections when necessary.

"Until this occurs, diabetic children will not be adequately cared for in B.C. schools," a provincial advocacy group, backed by a number of prominent physicians, says in a letter to Premier Christy Clark and her cabinet.
