I had a blood test to chekc my levels on Wednesday of last week and had an urgent call from the docs last week saying I needed a dcotor to call me to discuss.

i am worrrying sick about it and panicing as my diabetes is all over the place at the mo. I am also treated at the diabetic clinic at the hospital and not through the docs surgery..

Hi Ally,
Same thing happened to me went for my blood tests Tuesday and got called Wednesday at 7 in the evening I did have something wrong with me but it was just a case of upping my meds, best thing you can do is try and keep as calm as you can dont go worrying yourself, when is the doc calling do you know?

Hi Ally,

Nice to see someone else spelling it that way.

It's worrying I know when you get these calls, but I'm willing to bet that while the results probably won't be great news, it will most likely only mean a change or two to your meds. If it were really dire they'd have called you in at once and not left it for a week.

It's OK for me to say "Don't Panic", but I'm two years in on a wild ride and getting a bit blase about all the tests. I weil say that whatever support we can give, we will and keep us posted on what happens.

HUGS

I know my levels have risen and I dont feel Im wining the battle against my diabetes.

This is the hardest battle Ive had to face and Ive failed

You have not failed - it could just be you need a little extra help... Meds?

Are you on medication at the moment?

Diabetes is a moving beast, you think you have cracked it and then the naughty D throws something else into the mix.

So never think you have failed.

My levels went mad a couple of weeks ago and it was just a case of figuring out why. I increased my insulin and when I twigged what had caused it - stopped it and then reduced insulin.

Sit tight till Wednesday and good luck with the call, got my fingers crossed for you.

Try not to worry - easier said than done. I am sure someone posted a while back that they had been asked to see the Dr about an abnormal test result only for them to be told when they got there that the blood test suggested they were diabetic. Which as they had had the condition for several years did not come as a surprise.

It may just be that you have a HbA1C that has increase and your Dr wants to check on you and help. {{{Hugs}}}

Im getting so anxious about the call now.

I have decided today is the day that I start conquering my diabetes and not let it rule my life.

Maybe need to revisit counting my carbs

I will get there just will take a little time
