Ozurdex Floater

Some of you may recall I was diagnosed with Macular Oedema earlier this year and finally received an Ozurdex injection on late August. For about a week after I had a black cylindrical floater but cannot remember it disappearing. A check last month showed the fluid in the back of the eye had dispersed and s further check arranged for January next. However on Monday the Ozurdex floater reappeared. It is somewhat thinner and slightly curved. It tends to appear when I look down or lie down. Has anybody experienced this? It is quite irritating!

evening @MikeyBikey
Floaters are annoying yes (I’ve a few) have a few hard to say how many because mine come and go
think I’ve had them about few years now
but glad the Ozurdex might’ve helped you as it sounds like it’s anti-inflammatory effect has possibly helped the retina
didn’t realise until I just read your post you had Ozurdex popped in your eye

Checking back I see I did not update my original thread

after appointments were really messed around. But I did mention it recently although I think it was late August in the end!

Ugh - floaters are really annoying. Hope this sorts itself quickly.

Was there any particular reason why Ozurdex rather than Eylea or similar? Just interested because even tho my DMO has resolve I guess it could recur & maybe Ozurdex would become an option for me.
