When doing an overnight basal test can you drink diet drinks such as diet coke/pepsi or lime cordial? If the answer is yes then can you drink these if you wake up during the night?

If my last meal was around 7:30pm or maybe a bit earlier is it from this time that you can't have any snacks?

I would stick to only water personally, as lime cordial has some carbs in and the caffeine in Pepsi could affect blood sugars.

Your last food and insulin needs to be at least 4 hours before bed, so if you go to bed at 11:30 then you need to eat and bolus by 7:30 and not afterwards. Then test before bed and set alarms for during the night and then test again in the morning.

I’ve generally done the same as @Lucyr

Though I think I may have drunk sugar-free orange squash occasionally?
