Head of Endocrine and Diabetes Unit at Jahra Hospital Dr Sameer Al-Shimmari revealed that more than 27 percent of people in Kuwait are suffering from diabetes, reports Al-Anba daily.
Dr Al-Shimmari warned those suffering from diabetes mellitus against foot infections, as they could run into the risk of amputation of feet, adding that doctors have been performing such surgeries annually on nearly 10,000 people in the world.
