Hey
I've been on humilin m3 for about 3 weeks and it's really started to sting when I'm injecting it to the point I really dread doing it does anyone else have/had this problem?

Hi Kirsty

I don’t use Humalin, but did have this with FIASP. I ended up changing back to Novorapid.
Has anything else changed? Needle type or length?

What length of needle are you using?
In the early days I used 8mm needles and those hurt. I found the 4 mm were much better.
What make if needle are you using? I had a cheaper one given me by the Practice which gains bruised every time I used them, so I switched back.

There are many different insulins available. Would it be worth asking to switch. I know that whilst I knew FIASP was much more effective for me, I could not have carried on using it with the stinging.

Let us know how you get on.

I just replied on your other thread, Kirstylou - keep trying the DSN, there are plenty more insulins you can try so if one doesn't suit you they should find you another one which does.

I'm going to need to go see my gp so if I get in tomorrow if I still can't get hold of my dsn I'll ask them. To for me lol
