I have 'significant osteoporosis' and have an annual infusion to aid with the absorption of calcium - as a result of my op 5 years ago, though they only realised I've got osteoporosis two years ago. My teeth suddenly seem to be falling apart.
Is this just down to age (I'm a grumpy old woman:D) or could a shortage of calcium be a contributory factor?

I'm not sure really. I don't think I am lacking in calcium, but I have had a few tooth breakages over the past 5 years, most likely due to advancing age according to my dentist - teeth can become more brittle, and are especially vulnerable if you've had a lot of fillings like I was blessed with by the school dentist in the amalgam-rich days of the 1970s 😱

Could be, and/or your Vit D levels. Vit D is one of the fat soluble vitamins so without your pancreas you will have trouble absorbing it. In turn, vit d is needed to absorb calcium.
