Has anyone got an optium xceed meter, what do you think of them and can you upload your results to print out so the specialist can see how you have been doing.Im thinking of getting one, either this one or the accu check mobile, but these are expensive.

I have optimum xceed and yes they will send the software and cable free to you so you can download the results to the computer. I like the xceed because of the foil wrapped strips. If you phone up the company or speak to your DSN then you should get meters for free. I am thinking about getting a mobile, it's a bit big but might be useful for sport.

You can also download the software of the Abbots diabetes care web-site.

The software allows you to add notes, food info and medication information. You can do piecharts, line charts, histograms as well as displaying info in a diary or logbook format.

There are a couple of niggles, if you do control tests then when they are read they appear as a normal reading, and you can't set the control reading flag. There is a work around which is to mark those readings as not to be included, you get a little bin next to the entry. That way you can avoid the blips that would appear.
