Major prelim study, but I'd be a bit cautious about it for the moment. In this kind of study, apart from anything, the methods section is the most important thing to evaluate & that takes experts.
Eg: Smoking reduces risk?? To give context, authors cite some suggestions that nicotine has anti-corona benefits. Interesting if true & I will keep on vaping 🙂
Also: slight risk reduction with hypertension?? Dunno ...
Asian or African ethnicity significantly increase risk, as does deprivation, even when adjusted for confounding comorbidities etc. Ditto obesity.
For diabetes-related: hazard ratio of 1.5 with HbA1c <= 58 mmol/mol, 2.36 if greater.
