Usually I inject right before i eat. But tonight, I'm halfway through my dinner and i think 'hang on...have i injected?'. I actually cannot remember  I gave myself a few units just incase, but am now worried i've injected more than I should have...

really hate moments like this. Gunna keep a close eye on my bloods for the next couple of hours. Hopefully they'll be ok.

I have done that sooooo many times , just check your bloods regularly and if you are getting a little low have some carbs , if you are higher than usual wait a while and then do a correction dose . good luck , let us know how it goes .🙂

Okies , fingers crossed , let me know how it goes 🙂🙂 hopefully all will be fine , it is easily sorted either way anyway, just keep checking till you have an idea what is going on with your levels .

OMG you remind me of me! I still do that sometimes, but was dreadful when I started out. I used to have a card with tick boxes on, then I used to forget to tick the boxes.....then I could never recall wether I had forgotten to tick the box or take the injection!!!! and so on.......GGGrrrrrrrr!!!!

I have these moments every once in a while! If you do an extra test or two and go steady on that insulin Im sure you'll be fine x

ok, so its about an hour since I've eaten and my bloods are at 8.9. I'm assuming thats a good thing 🙂 I'll keep an eye for the next few hours though 🙂

hey salmonpuff!

I just noticed we have the same diabetes birthday! Although I was 2006. But I remember thinking about how things couldnt get any more depressing that year on valentines as I was single....then I got diabetes!

xx

😱
we must have been separated at diagnosis :D
At the time, I was too young to appreciate valentines day. But I must say, every year on valentines day I just get that 'oh great...its now x number of years' feeling, which is only made better by a fancy meal from the other half!

I often start eating and either half way through the meal or after it I then realise that I forgot to do my insulin... I have even forgotten to take my insulin out with me before now. I have taken my insulin and forgot a needle and vice versa 😱

oh i HATE it when that happens 😱
I did the same thing last summer when I was on an excavation with uni. Got up to site (which was about an hour and a halfs walk from where I live) only to realise I'd forgotten my insulin...not funny, and my supervisor was equally as irritated. Ended up wasting the morning walking home and back again to get it :D:D
