i have trhe Accu-Chek combo and had was in the process of loading cannula , pulled back on the the flexilink assistant and accidently pushed the button and the cannula fly out straight at my face and the needle pierced just above my eyebrow have a nice little punture mark that is bleeding Could have so been my eye so beware when loading flexilink assistant , silly mistake but easily made 😱

When I started on the pump the nurse was trying to demonstrate what sounds like the same thing, the LinkAssist Plus... it was a new design that she hadn't seen before and almost the same thing happened - in her case the canula fired across the room & bounced off the wall! 😱 She looked a bit embarrassed & said "I don't think we'll use that one!" Er, no, good idea...! Nearly put me off using it but I'm glad I tried, I actually really like it now!

Hope the eyebrow's feeling better soon!!
