Went to collect my prescription from the chemist and was told they had a query about my order because I'd requested a Junior Pen and clearly I'm not a junior. Was it a mistake?

I explained that it helps to have two very distinct pens so morning and evening insulin doses aren't confused. But it was a lie. I really wanted a swirly green and blue pen to cheer me up (I might get the swirly yellow one next). Is it a crime not to want to grow up?

Nothing wrong with not wanting to grow up and still have a bit of zing in our lives😉

When I first had the insulin pens (you had to collect pens from the clinic, and if you'll weren't pregnant had to pay for the needles) Due to the small doses I have, I always had the lilly childrens 1.5ml pens..

These were brillient, as they had things such as umbralla's, elephants and sideside bucket and spades on them, I was gutted when Lilly stop making the 1.5ml cartridge and I had to go up to the normal boring adult pens😡

Love the sound of the Lilly pens, I'd definitely have wanted one.

My current bugbear is that the award-winning Novopen Echo, with simple memory function, is specifically aimed at children. Surely us older users are equally, if not more likely to have memory problems? It also looks brill but sadly, is not available in this country. Hope this changes soon.

I would definitely like a novopen echo! I don't think I'll ever grow up! 🙂

There are about a million people - all adults! - I've heard say so far they'd like an Echo - I was on that list till I got my pump.

I still want it for evryone else though.

Have we all bombarded em or just whinged on forums?

Unless we bombard them, why should they bother?

PS I would have PAID for it .....

Oh thank you barb I'm with you all the way, that would be me too :D. There is absolutely nothing wrong with getting in touch with our 'inner' child.

This thread has made my day!

Take care
