Had a nice surprise on Tuesday my local surgery gave me a new glucose monitor the one touch verio.
I am still very new to glucose monitors as i was only Diagnosed as diabetic a month ago (don't know what type yet) and one of the first things i did then was to order a codefree monitor that was recommended to me on here and i have been using that for the last three weeks.
Now that i have the verio i have been comparing the readings from both and to my surprise i have seen a big difference in the results for a example i would get 6.5 on the verio while it would be 8.2 on the codefree?
While other times they would be much closer and other times the verio would give me a higher reading while the codefree was lower.
Since i was given the verio its going to be my main tester for when i am showing off my monthly results at the surgery.
If there is anyone else who has used or has both of these monitors what do you prefer?
