Omnipod soon to be compatible with Dexcom G7

Hi
I got a notification saying that soon the Omnipod will get a software update allowing them to work with the G7. That’s good news for me as I preferred the G7 to the G6 when I had it before. It’s smaller, warms up much quicker and you don’t need to fiddle with the sensor at change.

Just wondering if anyone’s seen the change yet and whether there’s likely to be any teething issues?

Hope all well

Also got a email yesterday to say they'd be a software update soon to make controller compatible with G7.

Did you also see that current pods won't work with G7 so they are advising that you use them up first before changeover, apparently when you get down to last box of pods you have to let them know so they change you over. Not forgetting having to ask pump clinic if switch is possible.

G6 has been amazing but G7 appeals more due to reduced warming up time, 30mins compared to 120mins with G6.

Thank you, yes did spot that point on needing different actual pods

Actually one other thing to mention on G7 was that one of the Diabetes Ninjas on here pointed out that with the G7 you can actually overlap with the two sensors for a time but only plug in the second one once the first has actually finished. That means that the first few hours of wobbly readings while the sensor settles in are much less relevant

Anyway, will wait and see

That's good to know, mind don't really get wobbly results in first few hours if honest.
