Omnipod 5 - High Night Time BG

Hi,

I've been on O5 now since early November.

I endured the usual first 2 weeks of hell, then after 2 months it's settled well and I'm in range 80%.

It's set to automated mode.

For the last 4 evenings I've started to see high BG levels (12 - 14) around am - 5am. This seems to have become a trend and is unusual given that I was waking up most days to 90% - 100% in range. Frustratingly, this is now anything from 22% - 60% when I wake in the morning.

Other than let it settle and give the algorithm some time, or speak with my diabetic nurse, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced such issues and how they may have resolved this.

I have not switched over to manual mode, the automated mode seems to have delivered well before all of this but now I'm thinking about whether I need to consider the options? I have no idea how manual mode works BTW

One other last question. My ave. BG (according to Glooko) is 8.2. I was hoping that this would look like 6.0. Any idea how to perfect this?

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

Assuming your checking your Dexcom/Libre readings with a bg test to see if those early morning readings are correct, other than that can't explain things unless your lying on your pod or something that is effecting insulin delivery.

Would be best to speak with pump clinic or Insulet, tbh my time in range throughout night have never been better since changing to O5, let's know how you get on.

Thanks - and will do. Come to think about it, I have been leaning/sleep on the pod at times so possibly that could be an issue? Will see what happens overnight, tonight. Cheers.
