Relationship to Diabetes

I say I'm an old newbie as I've been diabetic for nearly 20 years and before that lived with and helped my Mum who was also diabetic.
Things have changed so much over the years. I'm here to learn better new ways to manage the condition. And hopefully improve my control.
I received my welcome pack this morning and there's a lot to read in it I'm a bit overawed but very pleased I joined.

Hi @Roap and welcome to the forum 🙂 xx

Welcome to the forum @Roap, it's good to have your experience with diabetes on board.

Good luck with improving your diabetes control. Please feel free to get involved and ask any questions you have, there's no such thing as a silly question here! 🙂

Hi Roap, welcome to the forum.

It feels like things change every few months so I can imagine how different it all must seem. Might be worth getting your current numbers together such as your HbA1c so you know where you're starting from.

It is overwhelming to start with but take your time, ask about anything you're not sure of and you'll be back on track in now time.

Welcome to the forum @Roap

How have things been going for you over the past 20 years?

Do you take medication for your diabetes? And are there any things you find particularly tricky with your diabetes? Or any top tips to share?
