I am feeling so sad - found out this morning that my much loved DSN is leaving. We enjoyed a really good relationship and I always learned a lot and it was always a pleasure to meet with her.
She is taking a year away to do research into the causes of diabetes.
I have recommended to her that she has a look into this Forum as I think it is (a wee Scottish phrase) the bees knees (brilliant).
She is a diabetic professional who treats the person, who just happens to have diabetes. I mean by that, some of us are fat, thin, athletic, lazy, happy, sad, married, parents - but we each have diabetes. She worked out what was best for the person.
She will be sorely mised - but I wish her well in her research.
