Oh my word!

My uncle (also a type 1 diabetic) received a phone call off the doctors, asking him to make an appointment regarding his HBa1C.

When he got there, the doctor was quite concerned as his HBa1C has gone up from 4.8 to 5.2.

I found it rather amusing!

I see what you mean - i would be so happy with a 5.2 for my son! I just wish all doctors were as keen to keep on top of things though!🙂Bev

I wish my doctor had the same concern for his patients too. Those numbers sound pretty good, and it is good the doctor is keeping on top of things.

Whats his target! Most Doctors would be quite concerned with a 4.8%, and would be pleased it had gone up a bit.

His target is to stay alive.

Im not all too sure tbh, He's a couple years off having T1 for 50 years so his teachings were different to what i got taught.
As far as i am aware, 5.2 is still perfect.
