Hello all,
Having tried numerous times to log in over many weeks, I have finally reset my password and stopped lurking!

Anyway, here I am, T2, on 1000mg of mtfm per day, down from 2000mg per day. But 3 yrs after diagnosis, now in my late 30s, I still hate having the D word.
I got really good at diet, weight control. Hence past tense there.

Now going to re-alter eating habits back to good ones. But.... After eating what a shouldn't have today I've just scored in at 12.8 on my meter.
I kind of knew I'd be higher than normal as I feel very grumpy/agitated. Does anyone else have this?
Plus, has anyone else had to ring their own surgery to remind them that a1c is due?
Happy National Cake day 🙂

Hello Pink Blossom, welcome back. In answer to your questions, Yes and Yes. How long after you ate the naughty delight did you get your 12.8? What are your waking levels like?

Hi Pink Blossom, nice to hear from you again 🙂 Sounds like you have come back with a determination to get control back - good for you! In the long run, although it can be difficult to begin with, it does make things easier. Do things to make you healthy, not just because of your diabetes, but because it will make YOU feel good! 🙂

Hi LeeLee,
Thanku for replying.
I had some chocolate about 1pm. Then a sandwich and Rice Krispies as tea about 5pm ish. 12.8 was just after 7pm I think.
I don't test regularly but waking levels have been between 6.5 and 8.0 as I recall.

Thanks Northerner. I think I'm just going through a tough patch. But yes you're right - I am cross with myself for not maintaining my weight loss. I did feel better.

Don't beat yourself up! We all fall off the wagon occasionally - I have been really bad recently (my excuse is having a cold and craving comfort food). I KNOW the scales will not be kind to me at tomorrow night's Slimming World meeting, but I also know that if I keep at it in the next week it will come off again and I will feel healthier too. I don't know about you, but keeping the carbs down gives me much more energy as well as helping my weight come down.
