watching rescue special ops on universal, in a nutshell, man trapped down hole for a few days, bit agressive, they notice a sweet smell, find out he is diabetic then give him glucagon!!!!!!!! errr ummm???????? surely its unlikly he was hypo.

Being stuck down a hole for a few days is certainly an unusual situation. 
Not clear is "they find out he is diabetic" means they diagnosed him or found out his medical situation from a relative / friend?
If diagnosed, it also depends on whether he had medication and / or food to hand?
