I've not tested past couple of days. I have been naughty with choc biscuits.

I walked to aldi earlier and was tired when I got back so lay on the bed. I was watching movie on Prime and I started to feel sleepy and must have dosed off, at 2.30pm I still felt sleepy but hungry also, so thought I should test blood glucose and then eat something. You can imagine my surprise I was down to hypoglycaemic level. Any I've just had 2 slices of cheese and tomato on toast with 2 biscuits and a few grapes.

Guess I am going to have to watch myself more closely. Maybe I should test in 30 mins then again 2 hours after food.

I did feel similar to when blood glucose is too high, except this time felt a bit more light headed.

I'm still taking the 1 x 500mg metformin daily (after breakfast).

Any tips and advice appreciated.

5.6 after 25 mins so that's ok.

Hypo’s are horrible aren’t they. It’s unusual to go hypo on Metformin but it’s not unheard of even non diabetics can.

When hypo we test and treat every 15 minutes till we reach 4.0. I would have chosen 15 g of carbs , something very fast acting such as a sugary drink , ie fruit juice , full fat Coke, jelly babies even sugar.
