Generally I'm the first in line for any sort of meal but lately I've been really off my food.

I'm in this odd situation where I feel hungry quite a bit, but the moment I start eating anything, I feel full really, really quickly and to be honest, I'm finding both the texture and taste of food really unpleasant. The only thing I've really been able to eat any quantities of are cheese Doritos and fruit.

Over the last week I've sorta got down to almost just one meal a day which I'm basically forcing myself to eat but afterwards I feel really, really bloated. Interesting, my blood sugar levels are fine - I'm managing them as normal so it's not a case of them affecting my appetite. I am a bit concerned as I'm exactly the sort of person who never lacks an appetite. I haven't suffered any particular stress or anything and I don't think I'm nursing an infection either. Anyone got any suggestions? I can't live on crisps for much longer!

Is it possible that it's due to the hot weather lately? My appetite always takes a complete dip when it become too hot. I don't know whether loss of appetite and the other problems you are experiencing, like disliking texture, are signs of anything in particular, it's something I tend to experience when also feeling unwell.

Hope someone can offer you something more constructive! 🙂

Are you bloated after eating anything with glutin? Wondered if you have developed celiac.

Hi Deus,
My non-D wife was diagnosed w/Celiac a few months ago - came with all kinds of bloating & pain post meals. Gluten, Rye, Barley and Oats (some oats ok depending on processing) are forbidden. If you're still having problems, may be worth doc visit.

It may be the weather, but the best bet is to have a chat to the doctor. Keep a record of what you eat, medication and how you feel afterwards as it will show if there is a pattern and maybe help pin point anything. I hope you get something sorted soon.
