So non virus related update, James no longer on any meds as GP felt his previous results were good and due to his hard work she doesn’t think he needs to continue with metformin. He had gone from 4 to 1 but now none! Not sure this was best time to stop particularly as he’s not able to keep up with gym and football etc, but I figure the diet is the main factor and low carb is now so easy to follow .... anyway just thought we’d say hi and let you know we’re still trying to keep calm and carry on here in Suffolk... best wishes all
Debbie and Slim Jim (11st 11) x

Excellent news! I am sure you will not see any significant change in BG as a result. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to both you and "Slim Jim"!

Thanks Barbara I pressed too soon so now see have posted twice! What a fool I am. Yes I can’t believe how lucky we have been to get to this in 6 months since diagnosis but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty easy really , especially with all of you on here helping with ideas... you are all superstars in our opinion

Well done to both of you some good news in our present climate, take care.

Excellent news @DebbieC
Good to hear

Belated congratulations! You’ve both done so well, huge congratulations to you both :D :D :D

More belated congratulations, @DebbieC, that's excellent news for you and 'Slim Jim' ! :D

I remember how wonderful I felt when my GP said I could stop taking Metformin 😎 :D

That's great news and so well deserved. I know you have both worked so hard and the results have paid off big time. Big hug to Slim Jim from me and well done you. x
