Very odd night last night. I had 2 bottles of lager and a good slosh of jack Daniels about 9pm. My bg was 6.8. Didn't take any insulin as I expected the alcohol to drop me overnight. Ate about 100g of Brie which has been known to cause a rise.
Went to bed about 1am on 10.4. Didn't adjust as I was expecting a drop.
Woke up at 4am feeling very sick, 12.6 and ++ urine keytones. Changed cannula and gave myself 2u which would normally drop me 10mmols. Set my alarm for 6am.
6am tested at 14.6 and tested blood keytones which were lo. Took 4u. Tested at 7am 15.8. 8am 13.9 10am 12.4 just took another 4u.
Would you change the cannula again? Any ideas what might have happened?
