Obesity may or may not be a disease.
However, it was the cause of many of my problems.
So I guess I treated the cause, not the symptoms.

Obesity is so not a disease. How stupid is that!? Self-inflicted mostly unless you're Prader Willi or something. Obesity is ignorance, greed, poverty and other factors imho. In my case it's greed and intolerance to carbs. Who was it said if they swallow their own spit they put on a pound?
