OBESE children in Coventry are being warned they are in danger of eating themselves to an early grave.
The city?s obesity problem means some youngsters may even die sooner than their parents, health bosses have warned.
And other overweight children may have shorter life expectancies than their mums and dads.
In Coventry, a quarter of children are overweight by the time they start school.
That means they are at greater risk from illnesses such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes at a young age.
The warning comes at the same time the Telegraph has learned that the city plans to scrap key staff from its ?healthy weight? projects.
