A NURSE has won an award in recognition of his work helping those with diabetes.
Erwin Castro, diabetes specialist nurse at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs the Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne?s DGH, will be presented with the Quality in Care Award for Outstanding Educator in Diabetes Award next month.
He was nominated by Amanda Combes, diabetes specialist nurse, for the accolade, who described him as ?very passionate about improving the care of inpatients with diabetes through education?.
