A nurse arrested on suspicion of murdering three patients and causing grievous bodily harm to with intent to 19 others at Stepping Hill Hospital has had his bail extended until March.
Victorino Chua, 47, was arrested in January 2012 by detectives investigating the death of patients whose drips were allegedly contaminated at the Stockport hospital in the summer of 2011.
He was first quizzed and released on bail until September 2012. which was later extended until January this year, then July, and again to today.
Now, with inquiries still ongoing, police have extended bail for a further four months.
Mr Chua, a registered nurse since 2003, cannot return to work at Stepping Hill because of his bail conditions.
