A SENIOR staff nurse has lifted the lid on the brutal cost-cutting which is crippling Scotland?s NHS and crushing staff morale.
She said scandals like the case of 84-year-old great-grandad John McGarrity, left for eight hours on a trolley in a freezing corridor because of a lack of beds, were ?completely normal? in our hospitals.
And she said waves of cuts had left staff ?utterly demoralised and unable to do the job they love?.
