A 25-year-old nurse was arrested Monday on suspicion of assault after a female patient at Tamagawa Hospital in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, suffered diminished consciousness after receiving a large amount of insulin in April this year.
Aika Takayanagi was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of intentionally administering insulin unnecessary for the patient’s treatment. Takayanagi has denied the charge, police said.
